Week 3 / Design document & Prototyping

In week 3 we were really busy with making the design document, prototyping and making sketches and 3D models of our installation.

On Tuesday we had our Demo meeting. We had to pitch our idea in a very creative way - during the fire accident in Saxion. So we pitched outside in the rain. The feedback that we got from Margriet and Events - look at:

- design methods

- do testing/find solutions

- find more sponsors and partners

- talk with target group

- update the concept - more clear

We showed our concept sketches to few teachers: Herman Kacper Mathijs Boris and Harry.

Feedback from Herman was very usefull, he offered us to make 3D model of our installation + use the measurement tool to show all measurements. Therefore, he said that using Unity would be way easier and get better outcome instead programming everything in Processing. There are many Plug-in's on internet to find inspiration and examples.

Feedback from Kacper was based more on Unity part. He showed us the tutorial about the brand new unity plug-in that you can control music and visuals and interact with. The name is - Visual effect graph.

Max asked Mathijs for feedback and some tips about the data base and the requirements. Boris consulted us about the size of the installation and construction. Maybe we could play around with placing monitors in different way that saves some place and doesn't make installation too huge. Harry oferred us to use 4 monitors from school and possibilities that could be made.

Prototyping:

On design document were working five people Marieke, Max, Rania, Sacha and Me(Indre)

I made user journey/requirements list/morphological chart/APA and also the whole deign of the document - put everything together and sent it to teachers.

Max made Hardware diagram/ hologram prototype/wiring diagram

Marieke wrote a concept/concept sketches

Rania made State transition diagram/deployment diagram

Sacha - construction drawings/3D models

Also Shtilyan was very busy with look & feel of the intsllation and branding itself
