WEEK 2
Shtilyan, the lifesaver
In the beginning, the fact that Shtilyan was in Bulgaria was a bit frustrating. In the end, it turned out to be our solution to our problems. He, with a fresh mind, came up with an amazing concept inspired by Chaldni's technique. We then talked about it, and tried to implement this idea into our concept. We then decided to create an interactive installation with a hologram as well as sounds, that people can control with their hand movements.

Getting our concept clear was not an easy thing. We had to talk to a lot of professors, as well as Jacob - a super cool artist - and the owner of the skate shop in the city. We god a lot of inspiration, and we finally got our concept straight.
week 2 / Concepting
We got rid of the previous concept in the first week, because we got stuck in designing and interaction part. Therefore, in week 2 our main task was to think on a new concept, visualize it, make sketches. So I came up with 7 new ideas:

Sketch 2
Sketch 1
After long discussions we decided to follow a concept that Shtilyan has offered - an interactive installation that registers hand position in x and y axes and according to the position influences music/sounds and displays them as a hologram.

We decided don't use Conductive paint anymore, because we want to have a clear interaction - so long we will have enough work on finding out how to program music/sounds, because it will take the most of the time.

As a reflection I could say, that the reason why we were failing in brainstorming on the concept was that we didn't write the things down and our main focus was on the functionality and the design of the product but not on the experience itself. WE MUST START FIRST THINKING ON THE EXPERIENCE!
week 2 /mOODBOARD
On Wednesday I made a first moodboard for our installation. This moodboard is more related to a partner shop, where we are going to place our installation, so as a group we thought that our product should match the style with the shop. After I showed the first sketch of the moodboard, I got a feedback that we should actually use less collors - choose white and black and one bright color as a contrast. At the moment Sacha and Shtilyan are working on the look and feel of the installation, so after the discussion on Monday in week 3 I will do some changes. Here is the first sketch:
week 2 /User-journey
On 17th May, which is Friday we have to upload our One-Pager so, we thought that User-journey plan would surely be great idea. So I volunteered to make it. I have borrowed the plan of the User-journey from this website https://www.behance.net/gallery/19295099/Service-design-Experience-mapping?tracking_source=search%257Cuser%2Bjourney
For the design document I am going to improve the User-journey and visualize using icons instead plane text.
