WEEK 2
Shtilyan, the lifesaver
In the beginning, the fact that Shtilyan was in Bulgaria was a bit frustrating. In the end, it turned out to be our solution to our problems. He, with a fresh mind, came up with an amazing concept inspired by Chaldni's technique. We then talked about it, and tried to implement this idea into our concept. We then decided to create an interactive installation with a hologram as well as sounds, that people can control with their hand movements.

Getting our concept clear was not an easy thing. We had to talk to a lot of professors, as well as Jacob - a super cool artist - and the owner of the skate shop in the city. We god a lot of inspiration, and we finally got our concept straight.
week 3
Problem
Enschede is rich in cultural activities but it’s not being well advertised – the attention goes to bigger cities.
Our goal
To promote the culture in Enschede.
Target Audience
Young people who are interested in urban culture/ they think they always have to pay in order to attend a cultural event or they think it is really expensive, and they do not take the next step.

Solution
Shape of sound – the essence of our installation is to visualize sound. We got inspired by Chladni’s technique/ experiments and we wanted to translate them into modern installation involving technology – in our case, holograms. We use this installation in order to promote our website/application, in which people can learn about all the free events that are taking place in Enschede.
Why would it work?
Our installation will attract people not only with visuals but also with sounds, once we grab their attention, they will be immersed in our experience .
Enschede, is a city that supports music and art, e.g. Gogbot.
Before the meeting with the jury, we were not that prepared. Therefore, I quickly made an overview of our project and our ideas, so that we can present them clearly, along with our one pager.

I had never seen a hologram in real life before, so this was pretty cool! Max was able to create a small prototype for us, in order to test how it would look. No interaction was added in this prototype - this is something we still have to work on.
Working on
the design document
I have never seen neither a deployment diagram, nor a state transition diagram before. However, since I have challenged myself by working on the technical stuff of this project as well, I suggested I take responsibility of these two. It was a mess, and the research I did on the web was complicated. I was not sure about what I was doing, but I went for it and now I will wait for Harry's and Boris's feedback in order to make improvements.
Social Media
One of my learning goals of this project, is to work on advertising. Therefore, I am responsible for our social media. I created both a facebook page and an instagram account, where I post our process and share our ideas, frustrations, achievements etc.
