WEEK 2
Shtilyan, the lifesaver
In the beginning, the fact that Shtilyan was in Bulgaria was a bit frustrating. In the end, it turned out to be our solution to our problems. He, with a fresh mind, came up with an amazing concept inspired by Chaldni's technique. We then talked about it, and tried to implement this idea into our concept. We then decided to create an interactive installation with a hologram as well as sounds, that people can control with their hand movements.

Getting our concept clear was not an easy thing. We had to talk to a lot of professors, as well as Jacob - a super cool artist - and the owner of the skate shop in the city. We god a lot of inspiration, and we finally got our concept straight.
Week 3
the whole weekend I felt really sick so I did lag a bit behind because of this.

On monday we had a meeting with the jury. We explained our concept and showed them the installation we had in mind.
For this week it was really important that we have a final and clear concept. especially because we need to promote our installation towards others to gain sponsors and partners.

On Tuesday I felt too sick to go to Saxion so I worked at home. My task was to create a 3D model of how our installation will look like in the end. The result is viewed at the top of this page.
On Wednesday we got a guestlecture. This gave us a bit more insight about the measurable points from our installation, like how and why do we improve Enschede and when will the user of our installation be happy?

Another important thing that had been realized this week was our logo. Shtilyan has created a really awesome and fitting design for our concept.
This week was our first building lesson. During this lesson we learned about the requirements for the design document. Since this is not really my specialty I let some of my teammates be responsible for this part. Although one of my learning goals was to become less of a dummy in this field a solution is that my teammates tell me about what exactly is happening in the design document.

You are already doing very well! But push yourself, you can do it better! If you don’t feel comfortable explaining in english, do it in Dutch and the others will try to translate!
