WEEK 2
Shtilyan, the lifesaver
In the beginning, the fact that Shtilyan was in Bulgaria was a bit frustrating. In the end, it turned out to be our solution to our problems. He, with a fresh mind, came up with an amazing concept inspired by Chaldni's technique. We then talked about it, and tried to implement this idea into our concept. We then decided to create an interactive installation with a hologram as well as sounds, that people can control with their hand movements.

Getting our concept clear was not an easy thing. We had to talk to a lot of professors, as well as Jacob - a super cool artist - and the owner of the skate shop in the city. We god a lot of inspiration, and we finally got our concept straight.
Reflection on the project

First of all, this project was one of the best projects I have ever had, probably because that everything was going fluently and having a lack of stress. In this project I mainly wanted to focus on UI/UX in the mobile website + helping out with the technical problems and building the installation. Everything went well: the website is done and properly working (major amount of bugs are solved) the problem-solving in technical part was quite passive I tried to help when I could, but most of the times Max was way better in finding the right solutions than me and building part was great – I put a lot of effort in it, especially after the website was done.\

Talking about my team – I love my team and it is a key of why I call this project one of the best ones. We were as a little family, we planned everything together, helped each other, were open-minded and sensitive to each other’s problems. In such a short period of time we got to know each other very well. And of course, project FAT wouldn’t be project FAT, if we didn’t eat a lot of cakes! We celebrated many birthdays together. If I do another project, I want to do it again with this team, we fit perfectly together.

During this project I found out many things about my personality. The group meetings with our team coach made a huge impact on that. In the beginning we had to write our solution and justification learning goals, so now I am pointing at justification learning goals, which were learning how to work in strict deadlines, explaining my ideas better, be initiative and reflecting on myself (get rid of major pessimism). I deal good with the deadlines, as an example I am really happy that I started to program the website in week 3 so it was ready already in week 7, then I had a lot of time for building the installation. The biggest goal of these four was the getting rid of pessimism and it went pretty nice – my team helped me to fight with this by giving me a lot of feedback in each stage of my work and complementing, which really boosted me up. They encouraged me a lot and I think that’s how I started to believe more in myself. During these group meetings, I also encountered my strongest personal qualities: capable/involved (I am capable to do many things), caring/warm (I am sensitive for other people’s emotions) ambitious (I learn fast and could put a lot of effort for a good result). Also, as a shadow side, my team have explained that, because I am a really good team-player I always think about everyone, this can result in giving myself not enough attention and it can result in working in individual projects. Moreover, all this feedback gave me a cool boost for this project, that is why I kept highly motivated through all these two months.

All in all, it is amazing what we have created in these two months and this personal growth is the biggest outcome that I have ever could expect, also sad, because it is the end of seeing these 5 wonderful people every day.
