WEEK 2
Shtilyan, the lifesaver
In the beginning, the fact that Shtilyan was in Bulgaria was a bit frustrating. In the end, it turned out to be our solution to our problems. He, with a fresh mind, came up with an amazing concept inspired by Chaldni's technique. We then talked about it, and tried to implement this idea into our concept. We then decided to create an interactive installation with a hologram as well as sounds, that people can control with their hand movements.

Getting our concept clear was not an easy thing. We had to talk to a lot of professors, as well as Jacob - a super cool artist - and the owner of the skate shop in the city. We god a lot of inspiration, and we finally got our concept straight.
week 7
On tuesday I went together with Max to our favorite shop...GAMMA! We needed to cut some wood for the top part of the installation. That day we worked on building the top part. It was kind of a struggle because the wood was splitting and it wasn't really stable. But after putting more screws in it and lots of glue the top part was finished! Now we are hoping it isn't going to break down. On Wednesday I went on another shopping trip with Max. First we went to the second handed store to get cables for the monitors. After waiting for a huge rain storm we went to the Gamma again and got some wheels for the bottom part. We scerwed the wheels on and got the bottom part on the platform with wheels. It was a struggle but luckiliy we are really strong and got the bottom part on the wheels.

On friday I also cut some wooden pools for the ramp so we can start building it next week.
This week I also made a visualization for the shape of weekend for our instagram promotion campaign.
On friday I went with Shtylian to Artez to talk with two guys who organise booster festival and some other small events. We talked about our idea and they were really enthousiastic. They even said we maybe could store it at Artez so students can interact with it. Unfortunately they didn't had any money to sponsor us but they proposed we could ask artez. They said it was possible to get a sponsorship from them but if we want that we need to have a real plan for our installation. So they suggested to send them by our installation during the exhibition. A funny thing was that we inspired them to make an XML file of all their events. It was a good conversation and it is really inspiring when people who don't know about this project are this enthousiastic about our installation.
