WEEK 2
Shtilyan, the lifesaver
In the beginning, the fact that Shtilyan was in Bulgaria was a bit frustrating. In the end, it turned out to be our solution to our problems. He, with a fresh mind, came up with an amazing concept inspired by Chaldni's technique. We then talked about it, and tried to implement this idea into our concept. We then decided to create an interactive installation with a hologram as well as sounds, that people can control with their hand movements.
Getting our concept clear was not an easy thing. We had to talk to a lot of professors, as well as Jacob - a super cool artist - and the owner of the skate shop in the city. We god a lot of inspiration, and we finally got our concept straight.
reflection
I happily can say that this is one of the nicest group projects that I have worked on.
From the start there was a good an open vibe within the group. We had all the way long open and clear communication and above that we where supportive towards each other.
From the beginning we clearly spoke about what kind of tasks each of us would have during this project. Luckily all of us where interested in gaining more knowledge about something else.
During the first week we talked about our learning goals and what I noticed is that during the whole project we all remembered each other about this. It even resulted in people taking "challenging" tasks for them and eventually it sort of became more familiar.
As a conclusion I can say that I am happy about my part in this project. I gained more knowledge about already a bit familiar and new programs. I gained more experience with working within a group project what in my opinion is really valuable!
