This week we started to feel the pressure of the deadline coming closer and closer. On monday we didn't had any lessons and because of the webdevelopment redo on tuesday we decided to not meet on monday so everyone could learn for their redo.
Building the installation:
On tuesday we started with building the top part of our installation. Max and Marieke went to the Gamma again to cut some poles out of the wooden plates. After that we started building again. There were some troubels with the wood splitting and the poles being weak. That's why we decided to add some extra wood on the bottompart so everything would be a lot more stable. After a whole day of building, a lot of glue and some nice music to cheer us up we were finally finished and we could lift the top part on the bottom part. And yeah..... it's pretty damm big haha.
On wednesday Max and Marieke went to the second handed store to get some vga cables for the computer screens. We also got some extra wheels to put on the bottom part. After putting 4 extra wheels on the bottom part we could lift the whole installation on the wheels. This was quite a challenge because it's so big and heavy but we are very strong muscular people so we got the installation on top of the wheels yeah! On friday Indre and Max cut the plexiglas which was quite a challend and took forever. Marieke already cut some wooden poles for the ramp. Shtylian also experimented with glueing the logo on the wood. We have come pretty far this week with building the installation but we still have to make the ramp and to the finishing touches.
Concept presentation and presentation for promoting Enschede This week we had our presentation for our product owner and scrum master. We presented our progress and showed some clips about what we did last weeks. Margrit and Ivens were really excited about the process we made and the sponsors we got. Some feedback they gave us was to think about the interaction and the skateboard. Ivens said that for him the interaction would be more logical if you use the skateboard as a moving plateau instead of using your hands for the interaction. Some of the group mates were really excited and wanted to change the interaction imidiately, others aren't convinced yet. We didn't had a real group conversation about it, but we want to do that next week. Also Marieke said to Max that he needs to have some sort of prove of concept to convince her about making the right choice for changing the interaction. So we will see how this will turn out. Furthermore we had a presentation for promotion Enschede and they were enthousiastic about our idea too!
Sound interaction in Cinema 4D Our Unity, Maya and Cinema 4D girl Sacha worked this week really hard on making the hologram content for the music interaction part. She found way to make a 3D object in cinema 4D react to music that's playing. For our intsallation we need sounds. We asked our teacher Patrick if he has some samples of sound we can use. He wanted to help us so that's really nice of him!
Website and connection with php
Indre was busy debugging our website and adding a XML file concordia send to us. Unfortunately the xml file isn't working yet. That's why Indere decided to add the upcoming events now menually so we at least have a website that's bugg free and working. Later if we have time left she will look into connecting the XML file. We are really happy that the website is working well right now! Rania also worked on th php part of our project to collect data. She isn't finished with it yet, but she made a lot of process and it will be done soon.

Partners and sponsors For partners and sponsors Marieke sended an invoice to Gogbot and email Overkill again because we didn't had any response. Marieke and Sthylian also had a conversation with Booster festival. The conversation was more intended to see if we could have a parnership because we didn't thought they would have money to sponsor our installation. The guys from boosterfestival were really enthousiastic about our idea and the fact we wanted to promote off the grid events. The couldn't sponsor us but they wanted to have a partnership. They also suggested that if we have a good plan financially and a proof of concept Artez maybe would be interested to give us some money! So for the moment they can't do much for us but maybe in the future when we have our installation we can make a deal with Artez. The booster festival guys also maybe wanted to use our installation to promote their own event and have it at the festival itsel. So no sponsership but the conversation was really inspiring and motivating.
Promotion and sticker action
Rania and Shtylian also worked on the sticker campaing on instagram. Last week we promoted our page to gain in followers. This week we wanted to start our sticker campaign. First we posted some stories to let people know a sticker action is coming up. Shtylian, Rania and Marieke made all a shape of sound so followers have an example of what they can make. The reaction form people we told about the sticker action are really positive and we already got one design. Okay it's from a student from our year but still it's a design haha.
As a team we are still working hard and we made some good steps this week. The team vibe is still really good and everyone is enjoying the project. In the beginning of the week we had a good conversation with Sarah about everyones characteristics. This conversation gave everyone a self-confidence boost.
